I struggled as I got older to consistently hit my 3-Iron. I replace that with a 19degree TaylorMade Sim2 Max Rescue Hybrid and LOVE IT! Straight, true, forgiving and easy to hit.

Been struggling with my longer irons so decided to go with a 7 hybrid for 160ish to 180 yd shots. Works like a charm so easy to hit and get up in the air and Great control on those par 3 greens.

I replaced my 5 iron with this hybrid club. It is easier to hit and it goes further, even out of the rough. Well worth the money, it has a great look.
Pros
  • Long, straight and consistent.
Cons
  • They are not cheap, but for someone over 60 years old something to seriously consider.
